About the Race
The Pony Express 5k will take place in the heart of Crestline Village at 9am on October 1st, 2011. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 9:15. The 5k race will be chip timed. Race T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registrants. So, register early! If you will be out of town or had rather sleep in, you can register as a Phantom Runner to show your support for Spirit of Hope and still get a really cool race t-shirt!
Packet pick-up is at the Homewood Trak Shak on Friday, September 30, 11-5. Phantom runners should pick up their T-shirts during this time. Race day registration begins at 7:30am in the grass lot adjacent to the Emmet O’Neal Library.
Entertainment will include music, the Mountain Brook Varsity Cheerleaders, Whistler the Clown, therapy horses, ice cream, stick horse races and much more. Bring the whole family!
Awards and Door Prizes will be announced after the race. Must be present to win!
We are pleased to have Jeh Jeh Pruitt of Fox6 as our race day emcee!
Please observe Parking signs on race day. Additional parking will be available at Mountain Brook Baptist on Montevallo Road.
